HabiStat Tortoise Food is formulated with all natural ingredients including calcium and vitamin D3. This high fibre, low protein, calcium rich feed should be used as part of a varied and balanced diet including plenty of fresh leaves and plants.
Suitable for European, Russian & most other tortoises.
Available in three different sizes and flavours: Banana, Fruit & Flower and a new addition Meadow Mix.
When it comes to tortoises there are a wide variety to choose from but without doubt the firm favourites are the Herman and Horsefield species. In the wild, both of these species come out of hibernation and roam the vast meadows of their biome, picking out the offerings of their choice from the lush spring growth.
With this in mind, we have introduced a new flavour to the HabiStat Tortoise Food range, Meadow Mix, bringing the taste of the meadows found in their natural environment.
Feeding Instructions: Wet until soft and replace daily. Store in a cool, dry place. Food should be offered to young Tortoise (up to 3 years old) every day and older Tortoise every other day. Tortoise are grazers and will keep returning during the day to the food source provided for them. Do not worry if they do not eat all of the food during their first sitting, instead monitor their daily intake. Make sure fresh water is always available for the tortoise to drink as contrary to popular belief tortoise do drink water.
